How long are the sessions?

I offer two options, 30 minutes or 60 minutes. Each session has some warm up time built in, so don’t worry about jumping right into posing. If you have a group larger than 8 people, please contact me and I will customize an extended session for you.

How do I know which length to choose?

It all depends on what you want to get out of the session. The longer option is great for more variety in background and poses, and allows time for an outfit change. The shorter option is great if you just want a quick update of family photos and you know your kids fade quickly.

What is your approach to the session?

I want it to be fun for everyone. I do take the “look here and smile” posed images. I also incorporate a lot of movement and games. Tickle fights, snuggling, holding hands and walking. I want it to be a fun family activity that everyone looks forward to and not a chore to get through.

How do you get kids to smile?

I get on their level and explain what I’m doing, give them ways to help, make fart noises, turn photo poses into games. I have lots of tricks up my sleeve and every session ends with stickers and ring pops!

I’m nervous about the session, do you have any tips or advice?

Don’t stress, lol! Just remember that kids pick up on stress, so if you are relaxed, they will be too. Even if it takes them time to warm up, just keep smiling, leave the kids to me. Eventually they will smile or laugh and you don’t want it to be when you’re pointing or mid sentence. It’s chaotic, but it’s your chaos and we are going to embrace it and roll with it.

Can you help us pick outfits?

Of course! I can make suggestions based on the season and location, and pull options from the web. The most important tip is to choose clothes you are comfortable in and that don’t require a lot of adjusting, fixing straps and buttons etc. If it’s cold, bring gloves and coats you don’t mind being photographed, better a smiling comfortable child than a grumpy cold one.

How many photos do we get?

Each package includes a set amount, you choose your favorite images from the delivered gallery. You can upgrade to the full gallery of images for an additional fee.

When will we get our photos?

Within 24 hours of the session you will receive a sneak peek of a few images. You will have the full gallery within 3 weeks. Though it’s usually much sooner than that.

How do we get our photos?

You will receive a shareable online gallery of high resolution digital images. You will also be able to order print products directly through your gallery.

Send me an inquiry through my contact form. Once we land on a date, I’ll send a contract and an invoice for a 25% retainer. Once the contract is signed and retainer paid, you are scheduled and I’ll follow up with a questionnaire and location guide to help you plan your session.
