I am really making an effort to keep caught up on my photo shoots – personal and professional- and am making a renewed effort to blog more regularly. So I am pleased to share the photos I took of Savannah’s 1st birthday which fell on Memorial Day this year. I have known her mom Ebonee since high school and I was so happy to be able to catch up on such a special day and to have a mini reunion of the “Boozies” (nickname not coined till college for full disclosure 😉 ). I hadn’t seen since Savannah since she was about 5 months old and it was incredible to see how much had changed in such a short time. Of course, this one year old is super advanced and has been walking since 9 months! When asked by a mutual friend what she should bring as a gift, I suggested a membership to Mensa! It was a beautiful day and the party was held at East Potomac Park in Washington DC which was perfect – a playground nearby and plenty of open space for the kids to run wild. The parents of the birthday girl had quite a spread with some perfectly themed touches. No surprise since Ebonee is the very talented owner of two creative businesses – Moonlight Interiors, interior decorating and Renaissance Bath, handmade soap. Fun was had by all, maybe too much – Savannah will have a great story about the police doing a drive by at her first party, party animal from the first 😉 Thank you for letting me join the fun and spend the afternoon with your beautiful family!
