Portraits: Flower Girl

My brother got married to an awesome woman in October and against their better judgment agreed to let Evie be the flower girl.  Given that she wasn’t even born at the time of their engagement I’m sure they were regretting their decision right around the time it was six months to go and Evie still wasn’t walking!  But too bad because I’d already bought the most gorgeous Marchesa for Target/Nordstrom dress and serves Joe right for all the times he told on me as a kid.  Luckily, Evie is a child who appreciates a deadline and she found her legs with 4 weeks to go.  She did great!  Well, we gave her fruit loops for the first time to keep her going since it was close to nap time and she beelined down the aisle to me mouth opening and closing, hoping for more, and then she collapsed not wanting to go the final few feet.  My brother came and collected her, handing her to me, and it was very sweet.

After the ceremony, knowing the wonderful photographer from Bit of Ivory Photography had more important subjects —

I decided to take some time to get these lovely shots of my little marchesa princess 🙂

And last but not least, my very favorite….

Sarah O'Rourke Mercado - Your daughter is adorable! Any chance you’d want to sell the dress? I’m on the hunt for my daughter for a wedding.

admin - Sorry, I’m hanging on to it for the long haul! You might try Ebay – it’s the Marchesa from the Target/Neiman Marcus Collection.
