I was super excited to pay a return visit to this little man to document him at six months. Newborns are amazing of course, but there’s something to be said for a baby that can support his own head, and is starting to laugh because something is just too darn hilarious not to. We started off with a few shots indoors before Jack took his union break and had a nap. Then we braved the wind and got some adorable solo and family shots outside on the deck before heading back inside for some holiday themed pictures. Don’t be alarmed, no twinkle lights were consumed in the taking of these images!
Jack has an amazing smile, and boy did he make us work for it! I’m sure we made quite a sight, three adults simultaneously calling his name, shaking jingle bells and making various animal sounds at him to make him look over and smile. He may need therapy in twenty years, but the images were well worth it! I’m so happy to have been able to spend another morning with this gorgeous family, thanks for inviting me back guys! See you at one year? 😉
There is nothing better than a baby seeing Christmas lights for the first time. It’s everything they love — light, color, texture and potential choking hazards.
Baby New Year! Think he’ll want to recreate this shot in 70 years as Old Man Time?
And I’ll leave you with this image. Mom was helping baby into a sitting position for the actual shot we were going for, but what a sweet moment this made. Her hand won’t always be bigger than his back, it’s always nice to have a visual to accompany a memory.
