Part two of my styled shoot at the farm was inspired by Hera, the wife of Zeus. I wanted to complement my shoot with Cara, using some of the same locations, but with a more somber feel. I wanted it reflect my view of Hera as a woman, dark, mysterious and just a little bit sad. As it turned out, the weather cooperated perfectly with overcast skies and even a sprinkling of rain which suited the mood perfectly. (Special shout out to Cara for holding an umbrella over me to protect my camera!) My sister Chelsea acted as model and she was such a trooper, no complaints about the weather at all and willing to stay out as long as necessary to get the perfect images. She absolutely nailed the shoot, alternately haughty and melancholy making for some perfectly lovely and haunting images.
And though it doesn’t really fit the theme of the shoot, I had to share this last image. My favorite actually from the session. It is so perfectly Chelsea.
