I first found out about this 5K on Facebook and thought it was genius. I finally got my husband into running 5K’s but it gets complicated with the baby since not every race is stroller friendly. We either have to choose who runs or skip it altogether. I would have run this one if we hadn’t already been signed up for the Pumpkins in the Park the previous evening. I was thrilled to still be able to take part in this amazing event as a photographer. It was a bitterly chilly morning by the lake but it didn’t stop everyone from having a wonderful time! The great sponsors kept everyone entertained before and after the race.
It’s always great to just spend time as a family doing something new, and I fully approve the early introduction to running!
And they’re off!
Congratulations to Bubbles on his victory!
Only kidding, the win went to Mr. Incredible, with the rest of the Incredibles not far behind.
My main post was at the finish line and I loved watching all those cold but happy faces cross the finish line. Congratulations to everyone, I was so impressed. I saw whole families cross together, kids who were running their first 5k on their own and one woman pushing her triplets!
I just love this moment, mom finished her race and made a beeline for her family 🙂
This was a wonderful event and all I could see were folks having fun despite the chill. My own family among them 🙂 I especially loved the kids race, those tykes really gave it their all!
