Cinco De Mayo

I have some Door County posts in the works, I hope.  I had grand plans of being super productive my last week of maternity leave when it came to photo projects.  Sadly, my computer had a meltdown in Wisconsin and I was without it for a week.  Didn’t lose any data and Apple was able to fix it, good as new!  PS:  Make sure your Lightroom is backing up where you think it is.  Mine wasn’t and I could have lost a year of editing!  This last week flew by and I’m really sad to be leaving Evie everyday, but we had fun this week.  We had a really nice Cinco De Mayo complete with a beer/wine and tequila tasting at Taste, a lovely wine shop just down the street from us.  We weren’t the only ones with a baby either!  That’s right parents, you can still get out and have fun with a baby 🙂  Of course I only sampled, didn’t guzzle — parenthood may slow you down, but doesn’t stop you completely.

We were hanging out with a friend and after the tasting moved on to the bar next door, Poitin Still.  We met the resident cutie pie Beaux who is afraid of babies!  It took her awhile to warm up to us, Evie is pretty intimidating.  She wasn’t bothered by the large dog at all, she was too busy falling in love with the ceiling fan above the bar.

I’m going to miss leisurely leaving the house just to check things out.  I have a feeling that being back at work during the week will make the weekends a hectic game of catch up, at least at first.  We’ll find our rhythm though.  And with that I leave you with this shot of Thomas.  He doesn’t always try to be a cliche, but when he does it’s on Cinco De Mayo!
