I was fortunate enough to live in Europe for a year when I was younger due to my dad’s military career and my family took full advantage by traveling all over. In each new place full of different tastes, sights and languages, the one constant was my mom with her 35mm Pentax SLR capturing each trip. I’ve grown up with those images, loving every one and displaying many in my my own home. I always shied away from photography, because that was her thing. Clearly, I couldn’t stay away forever and my mom is truly the inspiration for my photos. I always wanted to have shots of my own like the ones she took in Paris as you can see below. If I have half the eye and artistic instinct as she does I would consider myself to be very lucky. Please forgive the resolution, I don’t have a scanner and had to use my Iphone! Happy Mother’s Day mom, I’m sorry we always ran ahead and never gave you the time you deserved to take photos!
