Christmas Cards

I love getting mail, actual real in the mailbox mail. In this technological world of  evites, email, and Facebook messages I rarely get anything but junk in my mailbox. That is why I love every year when my mailbox fills up with cards and letters from friends and family. When I got married I decided to get serious about sending cards. I’ve always loved the cards that come with newsletters (I’m such a dork) so I decided that would be our family tradition, though I put my own little twist on it. This will be our 3rd annual picture newsletter. One picture for each month and then December on a Photo Card.

Here’s last years Snuggie theme 🙂

We went through Shutterfly and I was really pleased with them!  Last year we we went with the glossy Christmas photo card and it was very well received, but I’m loving the crisp look of the stationery cards available in Holiday and Christmas variations, I’m thinking these are what I’ll be ordering this year.  I’ve always   gotten great prints from Shutterfly, they are my go to when I need prints in a hurry, I can pick up at Target and they have a great option to turn off Auto Correct so the colors in my photos remain true,  just as I edited them.  Right now Shutterfly has a great Cyber Monday sale happening that is good through December 1st.

I know holiday cards can seem like a lot of work, time and energy, but it really is such a great tradition, writing a greeting on someone’s Facebook wall is all well and good, but there is definitley a special kind of happiness that comes with opening up the mailbox to brightly colored envelopes full of personal messages of joy for the season!

PS: Shutterfly is making doing cards this year especially easy for bloggers, check it out!
